So how do you go about selecting your agent? Should you auction your property or list it for private sale? How much should you spend on brochures, advertising on the internet and property publications?
What happens if you’re not happy with your agent’s performance? You’ve locked them in for 3 months!
If you list with POL and you are not happy with your agent, we’ll change them, at any time. YOU have the ultimate flexibility when it comes to who is showing people through your home.
Other questions to be considered would be:
- Do you have the time to interview two, three or more different Real Estate agencies?
- Do you understand Real Estate jargon?
- Would you be confident in assessing whether these representatives are being straight with you?
- Do you know what questions to ask to ensure that you will be clear about the whole sale process?

In order to select the right agent, and take the stress of this away from our client, we consider and assess the following criteria:
- Size, background, reputation and experience of the company
- Previous sales achievements and performance
- Experience and reputation of the Sales Representatives, particularly in regard to the type of property to be sold
- Accuracy and detail of the appraisal and recommended list price
- The proposed marketing / advertising program and strategy
- The proposed selling fee
- The resources (both within and external to the company) available to the Agent / Sales Representative to assist with the selling process.
POL Property Group assists Vendors with the sale of property. The POL Property Group has an affiliation with hundreds of Real Estate Agencies around Australia and New Zealand, and we can pre-qualify and source the most appropriate agency to sell your property.
We will take on the job of seeking interest from the qualified agencies within the vicinity of your property. We will obtain and scrutinise a detailed Sales and Marketing Appraisal from each of the agents and present our professional opinion to you to make an informed decision regarding the choice of your agent/s.
POL will liaise with you and the selling agent, and represent you throughout the entire selling process; in effect you will have two agents working for you.
